**Area Operations Coordinator**

**Job Summary**

**Key Accountabilities**
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to conduct quantity takeoffs and compile accurate project estimates.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to order materials and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Assist in reviewing and comparing quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and procurement documents.
- Receive and inspect materials to verify quality and quantity, and coordinate storage as needed.
- Monitor material orders and deliveries to ensure timely arrival at project sites.
- Maintain accurate records of material orders, deliveries, and costs.
- Support project coordination activities such as scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of crews and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Support in the preparation and completion of project turnover documents, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and warranty information.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including material orders, deliveries, and project schedules.
- Attend site walk-down / pre-tender site visits as needed.
- Develop strategies, advantages, or innovations for projects as a form of differentiation and increase the best total value for our customers.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Provide administrative support to the Area Manager and Branch Administrators as needed.
- Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment and monitoring the workplace to ensure a high standard of commitment to all occupational health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a personal network of business contacts & connections to manage the business unit and develop business and project opportunities more comprehensively.
- Foster a project culture that leads to ongoing excellence and effective growth of business operations while maintaining the highest integrity.
- Conduct personal growth initiatives for ongoing improvement & understanding of leadership, management, oil field construction, planning and communication.
- Collaborate with other Area Managers and Superintendents in the effective utilization of personnel and equipment.
- Collaborate with the department heads of safety and quality and business development in the achievement of business initiatives.

**Qualifications & Education**
- Journeyman Electrician/Instrumentation Certificate
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the instrument and electrical construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient use of computerized systems, project estimating & software tools
- Experience with the following tools/software would also be considered an asset:

- Accubid estimating software.
- Microsoft Excel, Word & Projects.
- Acrobat Adobe Professional.
- Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), including hazardous area classifications
- Networking skills for working with internal management, stakeholders, maintenance and operations staff, equipment vendors, and engineering and construction contractors.
- Highly committed to teamwork in a multi-discipline environment and maintaining a positive attitude.
- A high performer that delivers on requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Periodic trips to remote field locations will be required.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.

- Working knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good professional verbal and communication skills and organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated to lead to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
