Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a **Shipper, First shift **at our **Woodbridge **manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for handling customers orders and performing shipping duties.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the **Shipper, first shift, **you will be expected to:

- Material handling of customer orders
- Safely operate a clamp/forklift inside plant and in trailers
- Operate and unload squeeze trailers
- Material handling of foam blocks and other material to/from plant areas, trailers and production lines
- Moving rolls to/from shipping dock and loading/unloading trailers
- Use RF Scanner to accurately scan labels for processing loads

Your additional responsibilities as **Shipper **will include:

- Maintain shipping and manifest forms
- Ensure daily equipment inspections are performed
- Remove porta-racks from production to storage
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
- Maintain satisfactory attendance levels
- Other duties as requested by management

**Skills and Requirements**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to drive a forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license
- One year of Shipping & Receiving experience would be an asset
- Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements
- Able to lift between 20 - 40 lbs. comfortably
- General understanding of PPE and use
- Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset
- Ability to work under mínimal to no supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.77-$24.21 per hour
