**Position Summary**:
**Job Duties/Responsibilities**:

- providing interpreting services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- interpreting for staff, parents and visitors at meetings, professional development activities and school functions
- providing interpreting services at multiple sites
- preparing classroom interpretation activities and course materials
- supporting the implementation of educational goals in the classroom

**Education/Qualifications**:

- a diploma in Sign Language Interpretation
- membership in the Association of Visual Language Interpreters of Canada (AVLIC)
- a minimum of two years of related experience preferably in an educational environment
- excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- proven success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

**Rate of Pay**:
$31.86 - $40.95 per hour

**Closing**:
**Note: Access to a vehicle for travel between locations is required.**

**This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.**

Rate of pay reflects a market adjustment for positions requiring a Diploma in Sign Language Interpretation.
