We are seeking a dedicated, member service-oriented professionals to join our Banquet Team as Part-time Banquet Server from April to October 2024 (Weather dependent).

**THE POSITION**:
Under the supervision and direction of the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Server will perform his/her duties to ensure an outstanding dining experience for members and guests in every aspect superior service, dining environment, and quality of food. A Banquet Server is expected to be knowledgeable, well-groomed, and friendly and represent Donalda Club in a professional manner while providing an unforgettable dining experience in any function. The incumbent is expected to have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be reliable, have a strong perseverance for training and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

**AN OVERVIEW OF MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform Banquet Server duties including serving Hors d'oeuvre, serving beverages and food, clearing tables and greeting guest in a professional manner at all time
- Prepare dining areas for members prior to their arrival including setting up tables as outlined on the floor plan when required, restocking condiments, preparing bread baskets, setting up tables, polishing cutlery, and any other duties specified by the formal dining manager/supervisor
- Handles complaints from guests and members in a professional manner and informs direct supervisor on duty to resolve any issues
- Continuously monitor dining areas to ensure high quality of the overall dining experience
- Coordinate with other banquet servers, kitchen, bartender and Banquet manager/Captain to ensure efficient service throughout the function
- Perform all duties to ensure the dining area is clean and safe for members and staff including clearing tables, cleaning server stations, washing beverage glasses, coffee station and other areas the servers are responsible for in the kitchen and in the dining rooms
- Perform other task and special projects that may arise in the Food and Beverage department or requested by the Banquet Manager/Banquet Captain

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATION REQUIRED**:

- Completion of High School Education (Grade 12) is required
- Must be 18 and over to serve alcoholic beverages
- Post-Secondary Education in hospitality is required
- 2 years of restaurant/banquet experience is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required
- Professional attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Wine Service is considered an asset
- Knowledge of P.O.S Systems (JONAS) is considered an asset
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be well-groomed, mannerly, and friendly to ensure a good dining experience for members and guests

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**:
Smart Serve certificate required in advance of employment
