The primary responsibility of the Corporate Controller is to oversee all accounting operations of the companies. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, they will assist in guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. The Corporate Controller protects assets by establishing a comprehensive set of internal controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The Corporate Controller oversees the accounts payables, accounts receivable, general accounting and financial analyses functions.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead in development of audit strategies and implementation, manage customer, government, and year-end financial audits, statements, and covenant reporting and preparation of audited annual financial statements to deliver a seamless outcome;
- Development and implements internal control policies and procedures to ensure safeguarding of assets;
- Set priorities and work with your team to define, measure, analyze, improve and control current processes which impact customer quality or cost and influence internal operating efficiency;
- Manage the accounting and financial reporting operations and ensure compliance with all corporate tax requirements provincially and federally;
- Ensure rapid and consistent collection of receivables by refining and implementing control mechanisms. With input from the CFO, responsible for the formulation of accounting policies, procedures and controls;
- Develop cashflow forecasting and measurement of actual vs forecast with variance;
- Respond to lender’s inquiries and provide required reports;
- Review nonconsolidated financial statements of entities and prepare consolidated financial statements for the group of companies;
- Support in development of quarterly board and other stakeholder reports;
- Adheres to all company workplace policies, standards, procedures, and safe work practices; and,
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- Completion of an accounting designation, preference given to CA, CPA;
- 5-7 years of direct experience in a controller role;
- Good business acumen and exceptional communication skills, both written and oral;
- Detail oriented and ability to work both independently and in a group setting;
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of Jonas software would be an asset; and,
- Experience in the construction and/or electrical industry would be considered an asset.

**Salary**: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
