Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Financial Analyst/Contracts Specialist is responsible for a range of finance-based services that support the managed growth and capacity of the Finance division and the development of organization-wide procurement standards and activities according to CCSA's policies and processes. The priorities of the Financial Analyst/Contract Specialist will be to support projects designed to upgrade the Finance division's toolset and increase reporting capacity. This individual will also manage the drafting, processing and execution of requests for proposals (RFPs) and develop and negotiate organization-wide service contracts and vendor agreements for all CCSA's activities and programming.

**Responsibilities**

**In the area of finance**
- Supports projects that require oversight and implementation skills in collaboration with the Director, Finance
- Upgrades payroll from RFP to implementation
- Maintains and documents budget and mappings and updates in Microsoft 365 Dynamics - Business Central while ensuring continuity
- Maps finance processes and updates to the manual
- Upgrades credit cards to commercial cards
- Performs an upgrade analysis of the finance software system in conjunction with other corporate software and tools
- Assists with month-end and quarter-end close as required; this involves preparing closing entries for asset, liability, revenue and prepaid expense entries, investment, additions to capital assets and amortization schedules
- Balances financial reporting to the trial balance to support the preparation and analysis of month-end reports for distribution to directors

**In the area of contracts**
- Assists members of the leadership team in developing and reviewing contracts and agreements according to internal procurement policies and guidelines
- Reviews and assesses divisionally drafted RFPs that have a material impact on CCSA and does so in accordance with internal procurement policies and guidelines
- Consults and works in collaboration with internal staff, vendors and external parties and partners for the development and execution of procurement activities, contracts and agreements
- Acts as the liaison with legal counsel and senior management when decisions are required
- Communicates corporate procurement policies and standards to suppliers to ensure CCSA continues to build a strong foundation of service partners
- Reports on vendor analysis, transactions and contract variance

**Qualifications**
- Relevant undergraduate degree or diploma in finance, business or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
- Five to seven years' experience in a finance environment with progressive experience in similar functions
- Experience in variance analysis in a project-based financial statement environment
- Microsoft Excel skills that are expert to very advanced with the ability to data mine
- Experience in reading, interpreting and drafting legally binding documents
- Knowledge of the most recent procurement practices and processes
- Adept at assessing and managing risks, making evidence-based decisions when identifying risk to ensure the organization is avoiding, transferring, mitigating, sharing and compensating for elements of risks
- Experience developing continuous improvement and refinement of processes that relate to elements of a contract life cycle
- Strong written communication skills, with a high degree of tact and diplomacy to deal with high-profile external contacts
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to plan and carry out broad assignments in a collaborative environment while ensuring their timely completion
- Complex problem-solving skills that include probing for information to determine the nature of the problem, comprehending complex material and developing unique solutions
- Advanced software skills, including skills in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, electronic mail and calendaring
