The Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Bureau Commander, Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau are seeking a collaborative leader to join the Criminal Intelligence Production Section (CIPS). In this exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunity, you will lead and manage the business/operational planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of analytical support program delivery strategies and frameworks within the OPP, and to lead related partnership development and stakeholder consultations processes.

**Note - This is an operational position requiring a high level of engagement with the teams and stakeholders. The successful applicant will be required to report to General Headquarters (777 Memorial Ave., Orillia) to perform their duties in accordance with Ontario Public Service workplace policies.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: To lead and manage a Tactical, Strategic or Operational Intelligence Analyst team in the processing of intelligence information pertaining to criminal and public safety investigations. Responsible for overseeing all operational and administrative duties of their analytical team(s).

**Mandatory**:

- Ability to pass an OPP background/ security investigation.
- Ability to travel.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**: Knowledge of human resources practices, policies, directives and collective agreements in relation to recruitment, training and development and labour relations to support an inclusive and engaged team; address employee issues and to support talent management.

Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies to manage the delivery of program plans, initiatives, and goals.

Knowledge of program evaluation methods, and change management principles, to lead the development of business and change management strategies to maximize the effectiveness of programs and service delivery, and to oversee the analysis and evaluation of program effectiveness, in order to identify gaps, costs, impacts and issues, establish best practices, and provide evidence-based program planning and delivery recommendations.

Ability to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate analytical support programs and services, and ensure that program development and implementation reflect government standards and best practices, accountability, and alignment and integration with strategic policy/program directions.

Ability to determine the material and human resources needs, coordinate operations with other areas of the branch and division, and organize work to meet program objectives.

Ability to manage its team(s) by communicating values, strategies, expectations, and promotes an engaged and inclusive environment.

Ability to identify and recommend staffing needs, conduct recruitment and selection activities, manage orientation/training, develop remedial plans; address employee/labour relations/employee matters.
