**DESCRIPTION**:

- Actively participate in the review, verification, validation and sustainability of the SQF system
- Plan, coordinate and participate in activities related to Q.A/Q.C
- Review documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate.
- Works with Research and Development during new product start-ups and establishes checkpoints to test new products and processes.
- Investigate complaints, develop and submit responses to customers and consumers.
- Initiates corrective actions for product or procedural process defects.
- Actively participate in the execution of crisis simulations and simulated recalls
- Ensures food safety principles and GMPs are followed.
- Ensures overall product quality

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Actively participate in process improvement.
- Update quality procedures and document quality information and prepare reports and/or manuals.
- Provide technical support to other departments, when necessary.
- Investigate consumer complaints.
- Responsible for the distribution of technical documentation to industrial customers.
- Preparation of work instructions, procedures and company and laboratory standards.
- Participate in the quality control of incoming raw materials.
- Participate in the verification of critical quality limits.
- Retain production materials, not meeting specifications, help resolve problems
- Perform sensory, chemical and physical analyzes
- Review of GMP records, sanitation records and pre-operational records.
- Actively participate in the optimization of product recipes in order to improve performance and compliance with customer specifications.
- Actively participate in optimizing the control and use of raw materials in recipes
- Actively participate in the SQF system and HACCP systems validating testing and assurance compliance.
- Actively participate in reviewing production and quality reports and focus on quality gaps.
- Perform QC on-line
- Review sanitation records
- Ensures that food safety principles and GMP regulations are followed.
- Report any food safety and quality issues to managers to initiate the process.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- BSc in Food Science or relevant field
- Certification of all food safety is a major asset (HACCP, GFSI etc.)
- Effective communication and report writing skills.
- Good negotiation skills with a customer-oriented attitude.
- Excellent analytical skills to grasp key points from complicated details.
- Teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
- Great attention to detail and a results-oriented approach
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Talent for problem solving
- Reliable, trustworthy and trusted
