About this opportunity:
The Safety Advisor is accountable for supporting the revision, development and implementation of multiple Health & Safety programs. Additionally, they will champion the administration of various Health & Safety tools to support programs such as ISNetworld that are aligned with Cenovus's Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS) and ensure compliance to regulatory standards and statutes for all aspects of Health and Safety. This position will partner with the Deployed Health & Safety teams to continue evolving the culture with a focus on continuous improvement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the revision, development and implementation of Corporate Health & Safety and Cenovus's Operational Integrity Management System (COIMS) Programs which may include training to entity personnel.
- Participate in assurance activities on Health & Safety and COIMS program implementation.
- Support in execution of health & safety field work where required at various locations - ex: vacation coverage, Turnaround support, etc.
- Support the administration of various Health & Safety programs such as working alone and gas detection devices, weekly communication, ISNetworld.
- Maintain relationships with Deployed Health and Safety personnel.
- Become an active member of the Calgary based Incident Support Team.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate/Diploma is an asset.
- Occupational Health & Safety Degree would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety environment is required.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in oil and gas environment is required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in oil and gas or chemicals industry is an asset.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Class 5 driver’s license.
