We are on the lookout for a strategic Project Manager who will exclusively service our important Government Clients and will be responsible for the overall planning and execution of high profile press conferences throughout our service coverage area in the Lower Mainland and Beyond. The work involves considerable client contact with the primary focus on ensuring high quality seamless broadcasts and providing exceptional client service throughout press conferences. **What you will have the opportunity to do**:
**Planning Stages**
- Act as the key liaison for our Government Accounts within assigned service Area
- Promptly respond to service requests within a timely manner and assess scope of event
- Plan, coordinate, and execute government press conferences from start to finish
- Liaise with government officials, clients, Venues, Internal Staff and stakeholders to understand event objectives, requirements, and expectations
- Develop event timelines, schedules, and technical specifications
- Source, manage and maintain dedicated inventory of equipment
- Determine staffing needs in coordination with labor manager
- Conduct site visits and prepare Technical Drawings where required

**Event Execution**
- Serve as the lead technician for government press conferences, ensuring flawless set-up, operation and dismantle of audio, visual, and lighting equipment
- Conduct pre-event equipment checks, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise
- Lead a team of on-site technical staff and Third party labour on-site
- Deliver exceptional on-site support during press conferences, resolving challenges promptly and professionally

**Control the project**
- Ensure all gear is loaded and accounted for on load in/out and supervise pack of truck
- Mentor and coach technicians on best practices and ensure compliance with established procedures and policies
- Keep labour on track, monitoring work hours and managing timelines
- On-site quality control and risk management

**Evaluate the project.**
- Complete post event reporting and filing within 48 hours
- Damage reporting within 24 hours
- Client follow-up post event
- Finalize invoicing and billing
- Support other branches and divisions through management of specific events or overseeing particular teams and tasks on larger scale events as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary

**The person we have in mind has**:

- 3+ years of prior experience in a project management role or similar in live event production
- Experience in delivering high-profile press conferences
- Full technical understanding of Audio, Lighting, video and staging
- Experience in supervising on-site crews and third party labour
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, government officials, and team members.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Valid class 5 BC drivers license and comfortable driving large trucks (1,3,5 Ton’s)
- Physically fit, safety-minded and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be flexible in working hours and be available to work outside of regular business hours and travel to different parts of the country
