If so, consider joining the Statistical Modelling & Trending Unit in the Education Analytics Branch where you will analyze data from the education sector and develop materials to support senior leadership decision-making.

**The Branch**

The Education Analytics Branch (EAB) supports the analysis and dissemination of data by developing reports and tools for public, school board and ministry use to inform policy development, instructional practice, and system management. EAB works with ministry-wide stakeholders to broaden the use of analytics in the ministry and is the central point of contact for other jurisdictions concerning education statistics.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: You will:

- participate and lead specific studies with respect to elementary and secondary education programs
- manipulate data to create and maintain data sets that support statistical analysis
- analyze data from a variety of sources to determine trends, make comparisons and identify relationships
- prepare reports, briefing materials and correspondence for senior leadership
- work collaboratively with a variety of contacts

**How do I qualify?**:
**Analytical and statistical knowledge and skills**: You have:

- data processing skills to design and conduct complex integrated data retrievals from large databases
- demonstrated knowledge of analytical techniques

**Communication and people skills**: You have:

- experience preparing graphs and other data visualizations to enable analysis and communicate the results of analysis clearly and effectively
- proven oral and written communication skills to prepare reports, briefing materials and correspondence on findings
- the ability to present data to non-technical users clearly and effectively
- demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and to work productively in project teams

**Computer skills**: You have:

- skills with advanced spreadsheet functionalities
- experience using statistical software such as including SAS and Microsoft Power BI
