Assistant Revenue Accounting Manager

Job Description Summary

Primary contact for Client Revenue Accountants regarding general questions or trouble-shooting issues. Use sound technical skills and solid judgment to provide expert knowledge and leadership to revenue accounting team. Assist Revenue Accounting Manager with team coaching, training, work reviews, and ensuring team lease administration requirements are met.

**Job Description**:
Provide support to Revenue Accounting Manager, ensuring team coverage, actively participate in hiring and training staff; propose solutions to identified problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action
Responsible for Business Approval Form and Executed Lease review, Yardi and MRI lease setup, vacates, amendments, renewals, future lease maintenance, etc. Ensure lease profile reflects correct billing info
Rent Roll reconciliation and monthly review of updates from Leasing Managers
Process monthly summary of charges and Tenant Adjustments; including percentage rent billings and analysis, back charges, and miscellaneous invoicing
Responsible for monthly base rent variance analysis and Budget change analysis
Preparation of Tenant Recovery calculations (CAM/Tax/Other) and invoices, including shortfall analysis on a monthly basis, as well as the final Recoveries for the year end, forecasts and budgets
Prepare and issue Tenant Rental Notices. Prepare Tenant Statement of Accounts
Assist in the yearly budget process; Assist with audit queries as required
Performs other related duties as required or requested.

**Education/Experience/Training**:
University degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in financial reporting in a Property Accounting environment;
Minimum 1 year experience coaching a team of direct reports;
Strong Communication and Organizational Skills;
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Environment;
Excellent inter-personal skills with strong focus on collaborative team-oriented environment;
Ability to prioritize time sensitive and heavy workload;
Flexibility to meet tight deadlines, requiring additional hours as necessary;
Proven ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing tasks;
Good supervisory skills with the ability to motivate others;
Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of internal controls;
Experience with Yardi and or MRI is an asset
