As we continue our growth trajectory, we are looking for a Manager, Sustainability Data and Reporting to join our team. Let’s create something unique and have a little fun while doing it
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability Technician, you will be a leader within a team of sustainability consultants, auditors, and data analysts while we work closely with our clients to attain their goals and targets related to waste and resource management. This includes supporting and developing our waste audit division and overseeing a variety of municipal and ICI waste audits.
**Responsibilities**:
Waste Audit Division (90%):
- Provide leadership guidance to the Waste Audit team to achieve growth throughout Canada
- Act as team lead while completing a variety of audits across Canada - communicating with clients, conducting fieldwork, completing data entry, and writing and reviewing reports
- Support waste audits sales through the exploring of new market opportunities, and assisting with the drafting of proposals of RFPs/RFQs
Other Responsibilities (10%):
- Implementation of sustainability services, education and awareness, as well as data management systems
- Minimal coordination of waste audit bookings and accommodations
- Create sustainability related content for Waste Solutions Canada social media channels
- Assist Sustainability Manager with leadership support, coaching and performance management to staff
**Requirements**:
- Post secondary education in Sustainability or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in the waste and recycling auditing industry, or related field
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a shared vision to lead a team to excellence
- Knowledge of municipal, BOMA and LEED audit experience
- Intermediate to high level experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to complete detailed analytics and reports
- Presentation skills to deliver engaging and informative presentations
- Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, peers and external stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- Self-driven, independent thinker who is highly motivated and possesses an intrinsic passion for quality and process improvement
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Willingness to travel. Must have access to reliable transportation with valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
