CGI is offering an exciting opportunity as a Project Manager. As a member of CGI’s national practice providing retail banking solutions and services to credit unions, you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team of global IT professionals serving our clients across Canada and the world.

The project manager is responsible for building and managing the plans with third party providers and internal integration partners for implementation and launch of a major transformational program. As a member of the Implementation team, they will collaborate across internal and third-party stakeholders with a focus on technical activities, associated business planning and critical dependencies.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration planning and delivery for a complex program
- Plan, manage and report on workstreams that will be delivering a pilot and subsequent phased rollout
- Perform risk assessments to ensure project risks are identified and mitigated appropriately.
- Develop plans and successfully manage scope, schedule and resources throughout the project
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams providing the level of support they need to succeed
- Manage cross dependencies with partners and partner plans
- Establish and manage project documentation, status reports and stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Provide regular and clear visibility to project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage communication and escalation of issues internally and with external clients and vendors
- Anticipate and effectively resolve project related issues, facilitate/negotiate resolution with key project stakeholder and external clients to avoid impact to project delivery timeline and client commitments

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies, and terminologies
- 100% adherence to CGI policies (Member Commitment to the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Dress Code, Travel, Expenses, etc.)
- Follow project management processes (i.e., Change Management, Configuration Management, etc.)

**Required Experience**:

- 12 plus years of experience with at least 5+ years of leading large-scope project/program management.
- Experience with SaaS Implementations and API integration based projects
- 5+ years of project leadership and cross-functional coordination.
- Project management experience in financial services, ideally within retail banking and/or commercial banking.
- 3+ years of experience in managing software development projects
- Experience coordinating dynamic projects with geographically dispersed teams.
- Project Management / Agile certifications
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Wrike

**Soft Skills**:

- Self-motivated with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills with the ability to balance immediate and longer term tasks and requirements
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive tasks through to completion
- Demonstrate the ability to provide information and ideas in a clear, comprehensive, concise and organized manner

**Required Level of Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Must have authorization to work in Canada. One can be based anywhere in Atlantic Canada.
