We're looking for an experienced **Lighting & Compositing Supervisor** to join our Charlotte's Web crew

You'll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing some of the world's most recognizable and beloved children's properties including the smash hit _PAW Patrol_, Mattel's _Ever After High_, and its own line up of successful originals _True and the Rainbow Kingdom_, _Pikwik Pack_, _Justin Time_ and its newest original comedy-adventure _Big Blue _with CBC Kids. The company is currently producing _Mecha Builders_, the first Sesame Street animated spin-off for HBO Max. Guru Studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature _The Breadwinner_, which brought the rich 'story world' sequences to life.

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct and supervise a team of artists to ensure high quality and consistent lighting.
- Work with the creative team to develop the overall look and approach for the project
- Manage multiple teams and assign sequences and shots to each artist based on skills/strengths.
- Work in an efficient manner which balances the look, quality and time requirements for the show.
- Design light rigs for sequences that support the development of the shows cinematography and shot composition.
- Work with the Compositing Lead to establish efficient Nuke templates that support propagation and FX integration.
- Work with the Art and TD team to solve technical and creative challenges within given constraints and visual requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years industry experience as a Lighting & Compositing Supervisor or Lead.
- Proven ability to successfully lead and mentor multiple teams.
- Proficient in Redshift or other major rendering engines such as Arnold, V-Ray, Renderman, etc.
- Strong understanding of raytracing, and colour space workflows, experience with ACES a plus.
- Ability to develop repeatable, render efficient results that meet the objective of the creative brief.
- Must have implicit ability to learn new tools.
- Strong background in cinematography, traditional art and/or photography is an asset.
- Compositing experience in Nuke, or other compositing packages is an asset.
- Python Programming abilities are an asset.
