Genetics Industry Ambassador

In this position, you will be acting as the company’s ambassador for building and maintaining strong relationships with industry organizations as well as positive engagement in services related to genetics. This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Services Officer and working closely with the Manager of Genetic Evaluations and Senior Advisor for Genetic Strategic Initiatives.

**Position Overview**
- Being the expert, voice and key contact with industry partners receiving genetic evaluation and related services
- Coordinating the activities of key industry committees including the Genetic Evaluation Board (GEB)
- Leading the development of new and/or improved services related to genetics and acting as a key spokesperson
- Ensuring a commitment of service excellence in Lactanet’s relationships with industry partners
- Cultivating relationships and collaborations within the company and with national and international organizations
- Contributing to corporate strategic planning and the development of business objectives

**Qualifications & Experience**
- An M.Sc. or PhD degree in dairy cattle genetics or other equivalent training and experience
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian dairy cattle genetics industry
- Effective leadership and communication skills
- A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute a plan to achieve objectives
- Passionate and committed to industry relations and engagement
- Strong team player and comfortable working in a dynamic business environment
- Minimum experience of five years in leadership role interacting with dairy industry stakeholders
- The ability to write and speak fluently in both French and English is a strong asset
