**SUMMARY**

The Lodge Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the safe and efficient operation of Long Harbour Catering business activities at the Long Harbour Lodge. The Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring activities are completed according to the company’s policies and are aimed at the achievement of the organizations objectives. The Unit Manager is the key link between Long Harbour Catering, our clients.

The Unit Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Long Harbour Lodge, ensuring that operational results are aligned with our contractual Scope of Work, and financial results are aligned with our annual budget.

The Unit Manager recognizes that Health and Safety are always our primary concern and ensure that safe work practices are foremost in all projects and activities.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide leadership in financial planning, stewardship, analysis, and forecasting.
- Primary point of contact with Client and responsible for ensuring all Client requirements are dealt with effectively and on a timely basis.
- Provide leadership in all meetings with Client, Suppliers, etc.
- The completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, both internal and external
- Responsible for reviewing financial reports, recognizing variations, and providing corrective actions to achieve budget.
- Ensure the control and effective utilization of company’s assets through immediate subordinates.
- An excellent understanding of Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations and statutes as it relates to Occupational Health & Safety and an understanding of employment laws.
- Assist in the development of the organization objectives and ensure plans of action are outlined.
- Ensure workforce is utilized to its highest potential.
- Develop a solid communication link with partners, clients, staff, and customers, using a positive favorable image.
- Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance of all assets.
- Ensure operational development requirements are identified and appropriate plans of actions are implemented to fulfill the needs.
- Lead the Team in the identification and achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure business results performance are properly aligned with client’s expectations, and our contractual obligations.
- Conduct Weekly Department Head meetings to review current week’s business activities and results and forecast/plan for coming week’s business activities and priorities.
- Responsible for; performance management, progressive discipline, and development for all associates working on the project.
- Responsible for ensuring that all activities of are focused on providing the best possible guest experience, within the constraints of our contract.
- Establish a solid relationship with the Client, to ensure open, honest communication always.
- Ensure all internal and external reporting is accurate and timely.
- Conduct provisions ordering and inventory.
- Other duties as may be required to ensure the ongoing success of the project.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 10 + years senior management experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Remote Camp environment or other comparable hospitality environment
- Significant experience in establishing, implementing, and training Occupational Health &
- Safety, Environmental Health, Food Safety/Quality Assurance policies and practices is required.
- Hospitality services (e.g.: hotel, diners, food and beverage etc.)
- Knowledge of equipment and equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Orissa, Central Reservations System)
- Working with clients, customers, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of building maintenance
- Working with a diverse group of associates in the achievement of a common goal
