The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre is a program of Provincial Services Division of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The Maples is a designated provincial mental health facility providing on-site, community, outreach and ancillary services to collaboratively support youth, families and communities.

Job Requirements:

- Masters Degree in Social Work (Clinical Specialty), Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent.
- Experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families
- Recent experience (within the last 1 year) leading child and youth mental health clinicians in a clinical capacity.
- 5 years of more of recent experience (within the last 7 years) in the provision of integrated mental health services of children, youth and families providing direct interventions and consultation around the trauma-based health services and functional behavioural interventions of children and youth. Preference may be given to applicants with 7 years or more recent experience (within the last 10 years).
- Recent facilitation experience (within the last 5 years) delivering both in -person and virtual presentations to a broad range of service providers, community members and Maples Adolescent Treatment Center inter-disciplinary teams in the areas of attachment, neurodevelopment, trauma, adverse childhood experiences, neurodiverse children and youth.

Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restrictions or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

Preferences:

- Experience specifically supervising CYCCN Clinicians in a clinical capacity.
- Applicants with 7 years or more recent experience (within the last 10 years) in the provision of integrated mental health services of children, youth and families providing direct interventions and consultation around the trauma-based health services and functional behavioural interventions of children and youth.
- Certified as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) for 3 years or more (within the last 5 years).
- Experience with analytical assessment and interventions with models such as Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Organizational Behavioural Management, Behavioural Skills Training, the ability to conduct a Functional Behavioural Assessment, development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience facilitating presentations on trauma informed material to social workers, caregivers, educators, and other professionals involved in the care and treatment of complex children and youth.
- Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
