We are currently seeking an energetic person to join our dynamic, forward-thinking group of Specialty Insurance Underwriters in our Toronto or Montreal office.

BILINGUAL PROPERTY & CASUALTY UNDERWRITER - TORONTO OR MONTREAL

The successful applicant will be passionate and results-oriented with the capability to build upon and foster relationships with new and existing broker clients. Specifically, the successful applicant will be responsible for both marketing and underwriting our property and casualty line of business.

- A focus on customer service as a key deliverable is essential.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Representing our Property & Casualty team across Canada with a centralized underwriting approach.
- Marketing and sourcing new business opportunities.
- Partnering with underwriters from other lines of business to identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Managing and building a portfolio of property and casualty accounts.
- Establishing and maintaining broker relationships.
- Evaluating exposures and determining appropriate terms and conditions of coverage
- Learning new product lines and coverages as they are developed.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant industry trends and their impact on products offered.
- Occasional travel within Canada.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience within property and casualty.
- Actively pursuing CIP designation.
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in business, communication, marketing, or insurance preferred.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

**Les responsabilités comprennent**:

- Représenter notre équipe de biens et responsabilités partout au Canada avec une approche de souscription centralisée.
- Marketing et recherche de nouvelles opportunités commerciales.
- Collaboration avec des souscripteurs d'autres secteurs d'activité pour identifier les opportunités de ventes croisées.
- Gérer et constituer un portefeuille de comptes de biens et responsabilités.
- Établir et entretenir des relations avec les courtiers.
- Évaluer les expositions et déterminer les modalités et conditions de couverture appropriées.
- Apprendre de nouvelles gammes de produits et couvertures au fur et à mesure de leur développement.
- Maintenir une compréhension approfondie des tendances pertinentes de l'industrie et de leur impact sur les produits offerts.
- Déplacements occasionnels au Canada.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 ans d'expérience en assurance de biens et responsabilités.
- Poursuivre activement la désignation P.A.A.
- Baccalauréat ou études postsecondaires en commerce, communication, market
