**Pay Rate**: $25.00 / hr

**Hours**: 40 hours per week - _Mon - Fri _**_(Days)_**_: 08:00 - 16:00_

**Site Description**:
This is a Courthouse building located in the heart of downtown Toronto. This state-of-the-art facility is a new build and offers a highly advanced technological setting.

The on-site Security Supervisor will provide a variety of services, implementing the Courthouse’s security objectives according to policies and procedures which may include but are not limited to the following general tasks:
***_Security Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities:_**
- _ The Security Supervisor shall be responsible for the supervision/administration of the on-site guards and shall perform these duties in conjunction with other duties as assigned_._
- _ The onsite Supervisor will work closely with the TPS Supervisor and will take direction from TPS as appropriate_
- _ Provide ongoing support to all staff on security-related issues;_
- _ Respond to calls for service and security-related incidents as required, and conduct other operational duties as assigned by TPS and the Ontario Court of Justice Staff and Security Services or as directed._
- _ Set individual and team objectives within the Security Department and ensure these are achieved to a high and consistent standard;_
- _ Monitors day-to-day staff performance _
- _Attends all staff meetings as required _
- _Test guard staff on a quarterly basis with information contained in the Post Orders, or using any other relevant information provided by the Security Managers; _
- _Training security staff as required, and ensure training checklists are completed and submitted to the Security Managers; _
- _Inform the Site Supervisor of all issues that may have an impact on the security services or staff performance; _
- _Review all logs and the guard tour patrol reports on a daily and provide a summary of patrol proficiency to the CSM / Management as required. _
- _Conduct and/or prepare frequent audits of equipment such as radios (and accessories), keys, Guard Tour devices, CCTV, storage and computer systems and provide Brookfield with records of these audits; _
- _Ensure all staff complete detailed and accurate incident reports before the end of their shift and within a reasonable time frame; _
- _Supervise security incident response and respond to all major incidents. If required, debrief after the incident to discuss and recommend improvements; _
- _Ensure the daily patrol schedules are followed and posts do not get abandoned. Conduct spot checks in person or via CCTV; _
- _Protect the safety of persons and their belongings on Courthouse property_
- _ Prevent and minimize fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass on Courthouse property_
- _ Parking enforcement: including but not limited to the tagging/towing of unauthorized vehicles, calling out contractors for snow removal._
- _ Minor parking gate access repairs and/or unjamming of mechanisms_
- _ Prohibit entry into secure areas of the Courthouse by anyone other than authorized persons determined by an authorized Courthouse administrator._
- _ Complete interior and exterior patrol rounds of the Courthouse including documentation of conditions/safety concerns and weather reports as required._
- _ Enforcement of the Courthouse’s smoke-free property policies_
- _ Monitor security consoles (access control, secure elevator, and CCTV video monitors)_
- _ Visitor and employee identification verifications_
- _ Respond to alarms_
- _ Complete incident reports, logs, and daily operating reports_
- _ Issue and control access cards and keys to personnel, contractors, and visitors when required_
- _ Lock and unlock doors as scheduled or required_
- _ Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions_
- _ Maintain a log of security incidents and report occurrences_
- _ Document, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeeping_
- _ Security personnel will provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on Courthouse property when required_
- _ Advise Courthouse staff immediately of any notifiable incidents_
- _ Assist TPS with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally)_
