**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and audience engagement.
- Create engaging and relevant content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, audience behavior, and engagement data to optimize content and strategies.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, including awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and events.
- Manage and respond to audience interactions, comments, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Responsible for influencer campaigns and communication from start to finish. You'll be creating campaigns around a unique vision, drafting the proposals for this campaign, and measuring against KPIs provided by the department head.
- Handle year long campaigns on our crowdfunding platforms by utilizing internal and external relations.
- Other marketing department responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably within the non-profit or charity sector.
- In-depth understanding of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter) and more coupled with the capacity to comprehend their distinct user demographics.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics to measure performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas and campaigns.
- Passionate about the mission and values of Penny Appeal Canada.
- Proficiency in leveraging Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other editing software and platforms to achieve effective outcomes.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management.
- Copywriter experience an asset

**Additional Information**:

- This is a full-time hybrid position located in Mississauga, Ontario. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate occasional evening or weekend events.
