Home Hardware is hiring Retail Helpline Analyst (IT Technical Support) summer students for our Infrastructure and Security team. Reporting to the Manager, Retail Helpline, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service, training, and support to Home Hardware stores and assisting them in the effective use of Home Hardware supported products, including Inventory Management/Point of Sale systems, Home Info, handheld devices, and electronic communications.

**This position is located in our Elmira, ON office. Please be advised that this is an on-site position.**

**What you’ll do**:

- Assist our Home Dealers (Store Owners) with the initial installation of Home Hardware supported software and hardware products and provide support for ongoing updates to our products.
- Assist Home stores in maintaining computer hardware and operating systems supporting our products.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations.
- Retail and customer service experience.
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to computer science or technology.
- Knowledge of Home Hardware systems, and familiarity with Windows, SUSE Linux operating systems is an asset.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, as well as a desire to learn are definite assets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and able to prioritize work.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required.
- Accounting and technical knowledge an asset.
