The Manager, Warehouse and Logistics is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution for the Packaging Services Business Unit. This includes accountability for the warehouse facility (and external facility management), inbound and outbound of product and materials, inventory movements, cycle counts, site waste removal and recycling programs, and systems and process design and improvement. This position leads a team of direct reports.

**Here are some of the different activities you’ll be asked to do**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, which encompasses the receipt, storage, management, and outgoing shipment of raw materials and finished products.
- Oversee and manage the team, including scheduling, hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, and performance management.
- Responsible for the inventory, and all aspects of the operations in the warehouse, inclusive of all products and supplies that come in and out of the facility.
- Enforce and ensure the safe, clean, secure, compliant, and efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Create and maintain cost effective partnerships with logistics delivery providers and oversee shipments to customers in Canada and internationally.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization, considering factors such as product turnover, size, and weight; recommend warehouse design and equipment requirements to enhance quality and efficiency, and manage these improvement plans and activities.
- Implement and improve systems and processes to improve warehouse efficiency, shipment cost and status, product traceability and accuracy.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.

**If you’ve got**:

- A degree or diploma in a related field.
- 5-7 years’ management experience in a warehousing environment.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- The ability to cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems.
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and its leadership team.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with solid writing skills.
- Team leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
- Forklift license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) (an asset).
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers (an asset).
