**Job Description**:
The Canada Programs Division of Everest Insurance Company of Canada, a member of the Everest Group, Ltd. is looking for a Programs Underwriter to join our Toronto office.

As a key member of Everest Canada’s programs division and reporting to the VP Programs and Fronted Solutions you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of MGA’s and Affinity Programs, day-to-day underwriting operations, program management and development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to continue to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support growth, profitability, and retentions- Review and Analyze Monthly Program Reports- Referral Management- MGA and broker relationship management- Training, Development and Mentorship of Programs Underwriting Assistants- Special projects and other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Property / Casualty Underwriting- High School diploma required- College degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills.- Bilingual English and French- Strong Excel skills- Ability to maintain excellent relations with MGA’s, reinsurers and brokers providing superior service.- Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers.- Strong prioritization skills to meet daily demand and deadlines to meet all service requirements.
