**Role Summary**:
This person will report directly to the Head of IT and support IT infrastructure systems in Canada and the US. In the role of IT Administrator, you will be joining a world-class IT Infrastructure team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.
The IT Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of NOVONIX IT infrastructure, technologies, and systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring continued operational efficiency, network security, and performance at NOVONIX. This position is **fully onsite** at our Bedford **OR** Dartmouth office, Monday through Friday, day shift hours (there may be times you are asked to work outside of normal business hours).
**Responsibilities include**:
Systems Administration
- Troubleshoot system and network outages, diagnosing and solving hardware and/or software issues
- Monitor and maintain backup and replication systems to ensure the protection and integrity of company data
- Update and create new Microsoft Forms making them more efficient and user-friendly for users
- Install/configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
- Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, asset inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
Deskside Support
- Onboard and offboard employees
- Manage the internal ticket system and prioritize incoming tickets
- Day-to-day operational support of office, laboratory, and remote staff
- Support existing IT infrastructure including but not limited to the internal database, Wrike, HubSpot, inFlow, and Wagepoint.
- Manage the office cellular service provider account in an administrative capacity (add/remove lines, etc.)
- Identify and develop training for users as needed
Functional Growth
- Research, recommend, and implement internal business operation systems integrations and improvements
- Research new IoT devices that will help support operations.
- Mentor and supervise IT front-line support technicians
- Regular creation of reports and other job-related documents as required.
**You are**:
- A graduate with post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledgeable in virtualization technologies
- Familiar with administration of Active Directory, AAD, and Linux
- Knowledgeable of PCs, mobile devices, and tablets
- A professional with 2+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows OS and Office suite including Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative
- Well organized and invested in the details
- Able to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Resourceful when it comes to solving problems
- A critical thinker able to manage complex information
- A problem solver
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing environments
- A skilled communicator and storyteller
- Comfortable working and thinking independently while successful working with remote teams
