Sokil is a family-owned transportation, logistic & warehousing business that has been well established for over 74 years. We are looking for experienced, highly motivated custodian/truck detailer to maintain our shop environment and detail the interior of our trucks. This is a steady permanent position with 30-40 hours a week. We offer flexible start times and a choice of weekdays (min 4 days).

**Custodian Responsibilities**:

- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, ensuring all surfaces are maintained to a high standard: floors, stairs, hallways, desk surfaces, door areas, common lunch areas, fridge, microwave, lockers, venting shelving, windows, walls, any area within the facility.
- Clean and empty trash cans and other shop waste containers.
- Separate out recycle goods.
- Clean debris or snow away from doorways, spread ice melt/sand on iced areas.
- Assist in re-stocking truck parts, organizing parts areas.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in organizing supplies and equipment used for cleaning tasks. Notify supervisor when supplies are low.

**Truck Detailer**:

- Clean debris from the inside of a truck.
- Wipe down dashboard, clean windows/mirrors, all interior areas.
- Clean oil/grease spills.
- Vacuum interior.
- Clean truck interior upholstery if required

**Experience**
- 3+ years of previous experience in a heavy duty maintenance shop area or commercial shop is required.
- Experience with various janitorial supplies: including the use of, handling, storage, and disposal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining cleanliness in all areas.

**Requirements**:

- Speak and write English fluently (no exceptions)
- Lift up to 40 lbs. carry at lease 25 lbs.
- Climb stairs, get in and out of commercial trucks.
- Be able to wear coveralls/cleaning attire and required PPE.
- Relevant resume with references.
- Must have own transportation (no exceptions)
- Legal to work in Canada
