**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Store Manager or Pharmacy Manager, the Keyholder is responsible for assisting in managing the daily operational resources (physical and financial) of the front-store and cosmetics department.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Operational Efficiency_
- Maintain confidentiality in all manners pertaining to the Company’s business and its operation.
- Maintain security of all keys and access/safe codes
- To collaborate with all store departments (FS/Cosmetics/Pharmacy) to ensure achievement of total store objectives.
- Work with Store Management to maintain and support a balanced inventory, including maintenance of perpetual inventory system.
- Ensure pricing of merchandise is accurate.
- Assist in achieving projected sales growth and productivity targets.
- Demonstrate awareness of profitability targets and gross margins.
- Maintain controllable expenses.
- Follow all health and safety regulations including but not limited to:

- Provide H & S policy direction and planning
- Review information and delegates responsibility/authority
- Provides active support to H & S Policy
- Ensuring staff operate in a safe manner
- Ensures staff have adequate resources, training and support
- Assists Health and Safety Committee or Representative
- If necessary, offer modified work duties in the event of a workplace injury
- Ensure Loss Prevention systems and procedures are performed according to established guidelines.
- On Alarm call list - attend store when required out of hours
- Planning and preparation for Inventory Management.
- Provide feedback to Store Management regarding employee performance concerns.
- Complete audits as needed according to relevant standard operating procedures (S.O.P.).
- Ensures company S.O.P., policies, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed.
- Complete Security Occurrence Reports (SOR) in accordance with Loss Prevention standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for cash management of the store, including but not limited to deposit reconciliation and balancing tills.
- Ensure cleaning standards are met with vendors.
- Participate in Inventory Day
- Key holding duties include opening and closing of store and applicable procedure adherence
- Customer Service_
- Represent the company in a professional manner and adhere to iCare values at all times when working with customer and vendors.
- Ensuring that outstanding customer service is provided as outlined in operational procedures guidelines.
- Ensure employees present proper image to the public in accordance with policy (i.e clean appearance, approved uniform, name badge)
- Address inquiries (i.e. location of product, rain checks) and resolve customer complaints according to guidelines.
- Assist Pharmacy as needed to ensure customer service standards are maintained.
- Demonstrates awareness and acts upon Tell Rexall results and expectations.
- Working closely with vendors, visitors and any other internal and external customers
- Marketing and Merchandising_
- Assist with all marketing programs and initiatives, which may include but not limited to:

- Retail price management
- Front Store Department Merchandising
- Planograms, core programs and merchandising techniques
- Utilizes special events to drive sales
- Flyer implementation and local advertising initiatives
- Build and maintain proper displays in accordance to the Playbook to reflect seasonal and promotional programs to ensure value events are set up and taken down according to schedule.
- Maintain store and cosmetic department image standards as outlined in operational guidelines.
- Ensure signage in the store reflects current programs, policies and procedures.
- Placing orders to ensure in-stock position is maintained
- Receiving of orders, following Standard Operating Procedures

Fulfill other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacies Ltd.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- 1-2 years retail experience is an asset
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Efficient time management skills
- Financial analysis ability
- Strong communication, both verbal and written
- Effective organizational and planning skills

**Context and Environment**:
To provide support to all parties within the store. Ability to work flexible shifts and required to be available to work a minimum of three night shifts and two day/morning shifts per week. Ability to perform moderate lifting as well as standing for prolonged periods of time.
