Production Crew Supervisor

A day in the life of a **Production Crew Supervisor** finds you showcasing your strong organizational skills and adaptability by leading and coordinating diverse production teams.
Your day starts with a team huddle, where you gather with team leads and work crews to assign tasks, clarify expectations, and ensure everyone is ready to tackle the day. From coordinating moving tasks to overseeing work on the trimming and sorting lines, you’re constantly on the move to make sure production stays on track.
With flexibility in mind, you shift priorities as unexpected changes arise — whether it’s reallocating workers to prevent bottlenecks, troubleshooting equipment issues, or improving workflow processes. Your problem-solving skills and calm attitude benefit the entire team in situations like these
As the day winds down, you complete a final walkthrough of the production lines, check in with workers, and monitor the status of today’s KPIs. You meet with your Operations Manager to review the day’s progress and plan tomorrow’s tasks. This role keeps you on your toes, but you’re proud to lead by example and keep operations flowing smoothly.

**Position Summary**:
As Production Crew Supervisor, you lead by example. You’re responsible for overseeing general workflow, and working closely with the Production Team Leads to complete tasks on time and meet quality and safety standards. You ensure all teams understand their duties and functions and are trained as needed so that assigned work is completed within deadlines (daily, weekly, monthly).

**What We Need From You**:
- Experience in a crew supervisor role is an asset
- Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or production is an asset
- Proficiency in English and Punjabi is required, proficiency in Spanish is an asset
- Effective organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- A motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude
- A flexible, solution-oriented mindset
- Mechanical inclination is an asset
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and lead by example
- Willingness to attain required certifications to operate necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts and tractors

**Your Duties Will Include**:
- Delegating daily work and expectations with team leads
- Identifying and filling gaps in information, direction, or training among team leads
- Assisting team leads in the assignment of workers to tasks with regular review and revision
- Regular monitoring of workstations, production, and safe practices, with revision when necessary to ensure KPIs are met
- Monitoring KPIs such as resource allocation and ensuring proper tracking and reporting
- Identifying real or potential hazards or concerns, presenting potential solutions, and implementing solutions as directed
- Facilitating machinery setup, including, but not limited to, trimmers, cleaners, transport belts, multiple production lines, etc.
- Communicating regularly with the Operations Manager and other supervisors on production-related concerns and opportunities in areas including, but not limited to, safety, productivity, workflow, and employee satisfaction
- Other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, for which training will be provided
**Working Conditions**:
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. This is a full-time job, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours. Longer hours or Saturdays during peak season may be required. As Production Crew Supervisor, you’ll be required to operate outdoors regardless of weather, as well as in warm greenhouse environments.
