**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Director of Planning, the Merchandise Planner is responsible for driving sales and monitoring inventory levels across all channels of distribution to meet financial targets and company objectives. This role focuses on studying the market and tracking how existing products are performing in order to bring new products based on predicted needs of the customer.

As a member of the planning team, you play a key role in the financial success of Frank And Oak by making key financial decisions to maximize sales, margins and inventory productivity.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for managing the Open-to-Buy process, monitor the purchases against plans in accordance with sales trend and inventory levels;
- Build preseason assortment plans based on business strategies, post-mortem takeaways, seasonal concepts and trends;
- Forecast sales and inventory at the style/colour level for all key items;
- Review purchases with the buyers and recommend strategic actions to maximize sales and margins, optimize inventory, and mitigate risk;
- Provide in-season strategies to maximize sales opportunities and inventory levels: promotions, markdowns or chase;
- Analyze current sales performance and adjust future plans in response to market trends and customer needs;
- Support our allocation team to optimize sales and inventory in our stores;
- Support our digital team to optimize site experience based on inventory and traffic;
- Conduct various analyses and provide reporting driving business goals.

**WHO YOU ARE**
- Genuinely a nice human being / Fun person to work with
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning in the fashion retail industry is a plus;
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet is a must;
- Aware of current fashion trends with a good understanding of customer needs;
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented with a strong business and financial acumen;
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resourceful;
- Excellent organizational skill with the ability to set priorities and adapt in a changing business environment;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, in English and French;
- Knowledge of NetSuite ERP is a plus.

**APERÇU DU POSTE**

Relevant du Directeur de la planification, le planificateur de marchandise est responsable de stimuler les ventes et de surveiller les niveaux de stock à travers tous les canaux de distribution afin d'atteindre les cibles financières et les objectifs de l'entreprise. Ce rôle se concentre sur l'étude du marché et le suivi des performances des produits existants afin d'apporter de nouveaux produits basés sur les besoins prévus du client.

En tant que membre de l’équipe de planification, vous jouez un rôle clé dans le succès financier de Frank And Oak en prenant d’importantes décisions financières pour maximiser les ventes, les marges et la productivité des stocks.
