**POSITION OVERVIEW**
We are looking for a skilled and experienced labour relations professional to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Manager of Employee & Labour Relations, you will play a vital role in proving expert guidance and support in all aspects of labour relations and human resources activities including policy and contract interpretations, collective bargaining and grievance handling. This role is pivotal in fostering positive employee relations, resolving conflicts and ensuring compliance with all labour laws and regulations. This is an opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our organization by fostering positive employee relations and promoting fair and equitable workplace practices.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
Completion of a diploma in human resources (or related) preferred or equivalent combination of directly related education, training and experience, supplemented by courses in a related field. Five years of experience working in a unionized environment providing advice on a full range of labour relations and human resource matters.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Considerable knowledge of current employment legislation and relevant case law
- Demonstrated ability in grievance handling and resolution with experience working closely with union representatives and management to address issues and ensure fair and consistent outcomes
- Skilled in interpreting and providing accurate and timely guidance on collective agreement provisions based on arbitral jurisprudence
- Ability to conduct fair, objective investigations and recommend consistent remedial action per collective agreements and policies
- Demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts and agencies
- Ability to collect, analyze and interpret labour relations data to identify trends, areas for improvement and key insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning

**LICENCES AND CERTIFICATES**
A valid Class 5 Driver’s License in the Province of British Columbia with a safe driving history
