**Purpose of Job**:
Reporting to Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting, this incumbent will be responsible for the effective and efficient preparation of the Bank’s monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns to various governing bodies (OSFI, Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada and Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation etc.), as well as conducting any ad hoc regulatory related analysis.

This role will be required to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, due to extensive work with other departments and external partners. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must as there are many competing priorities, often under aggressive timelines. The individual is expected to work with a high level of attention to detail and independence.

**Main Activities**:

- Prepare various regulatory returns in accordance with the regulatory guidelines and commit on-time submission.
- Understand data requirements and enforce reporting consistency.
- Refresh the procedure manuals to be in line with the latest regulatory updates.
- Implement pertinent control procedures to better the quality of work.
- Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workloads as applicable.

**Knowledge/Skill Requirements**:

- Accounting background preferred
- Undergraduate degree in business/commerce/accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in finance/accounting field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, taking into account the target audience
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently but also be a supportive team player and a self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to learn new skills

**Job Complexities / Thinking Challenges**:

- The incumbent will be challenged by the complexity of Bank’s operating and reporting environment, the depth of detailed reporting required, and the pace of new corporate initiatives and their implications on reporting.
- The incumbent will maintain corporate and regulatory compliance.
- The incumbent will be held responsible for executing agreed upon changes with limited supervision.

**Accountability**:

- The Analyst, Regulatory Reporting carries out their responsibilities under the management and guidance of the Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting. The individual is expected to take responsibility for: the production of various standalone and/or consolidated regulatory filings; conducting trending analysis; and maintaining the compliance and integrity of the Bank’s regulatory reporting.
