The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan. CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.

The CLSI Education Team, within the science division, is guided by three main goals. First, we aim to create space for Indigenous knowledge, demonstrating how Indigenous and mainstream scientific worldviews can respectfully coexist and enhance one another within our education programming. Second, we seek to transform STEM education by promoting experiential, inquiry-based learning, incorporating cutting-edge research, and fostering a more inclusive environment. Finally, we strive to expand representation in science, creating opportunities for learners to see themselves - and be seen - as part of a science community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Builds connections and relationships with Indigenous communities, educators, Elders, and Traditional Knowledge keepers locally, provincially, and nationally with the goal of increasing participation of Indigenous people in education programs at CLSI.
- Provides solutions to groups or individuals seeking advice and consultation in preparing pedagogical centric activities or resources internally or externally.
- Develops and maintains production and distribution of CLSI Education resources that promote CLSI educational programming or provide educators STEM education within their teaching.
- Supports and maintains the CLSI Education virtual presence including but not limited to the Education section of the CLSI website, the CLSI Education website, and social media.
- Recognizing that the position has responsibility for programs involving minors, this position ensures that safety is the primary consideration in driving decisions and actions of CLSI Education programming.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in Education, Indigenous Studies, or Science.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with Indigenous communities.
- Experience and skill with virtual platforms and basic office software is required.
- Experience working with youth aged 14-18 in formal or informal learning settings would be an asset.
- Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector background check.

**Salary Range**:The Salary Range is $65,994 - $89,250.

**Remuneration**:Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including supplemental health & dental, life insurance, pension plan, and four weeks’ vacation is part of a competitive compensation package.
