Position Description

Job Duties
- Teach and directly supervise undergraduate and masters students in fulfilling their clinical community practicum and/or other course objectives;
- Support student learning by offering appropriate teaching strategies, evaluations, and ongoing constructive feedback, including using myCourses;
- Communicate with students in line with the McGill University policy, and with the course coordinator about any concerns related to student learning;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote the best student learning experience possible;
- Ensure cultural respect and culture safety for Indigenous patients and their loved ones, including culturally safe and culturally competent referrals; refer to a traditional healer as needed;
- Organize and lead clinical conferences;
- Participate as appropriate in relevant ISoN Faculty meetings when possible;
- Provide nursing expertise and services (i.e., including examinations, assessments, referrals and follow-up care as needed);
- Maintain and update database and files, and document processes related to clinical activities;
- Serve as a resource person on health-related matters, develop cultural safety and humility nursing care practices; and serve as a liaison between the health care system and the community organization’s nurse-led clinics;
- Ensure appropriate inventory of equipment, material and supplies, including ordering of required material and supplies;
- The successful incumbent will also be expected to contribute to service activities within the School, the University and the wider scholarly community.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum requirements for consideration are:

- Baccalaureate degree in nursing. Master’s degree is an asset;
- Active OIIQ license;
- Experience in nursing education and/or clinical supervision of a diverse student body;
- Minimum 4 years of full-time clinical experience;
- Experience in remote communities with a full scope of practice is an asset;
- Demonstrated abilities with a broad range of clinical technical skills and Health and Physical Assessments;
- Coordination or management experience is an asset;
- A demonstrated commitment to-and in accordance with circumstances, a track record in equity, diversity, inclusion, and antiracism (EDI-A);
- Valid CPR certification - BLS provider course;
- Bilingualism (French and English); knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.

**Salary**: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

Job Status: Part-time (3 days/week 0.6 FTE)
