The Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society is a highly specialized research, policy and solutions initiative at the University of Toronto that draws on world-class research expertise across multiple academic divisions; regional, national, and international academic partners; and commercial and community organizations and translates research into concrete solutions and policy guidance. This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but not limited to the University of Toronto’s Alternative Work Arrangements Guideline.

**Your opportunity**:
Under the direction of the Executive director, this position will be responsible for working with the SRI leadership team to craft strategic and business development plans, planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects, and assessing operational needs to recommend the adoption of goals and initiatives designed to advance the vision of the SRI. The position will lead the development, coordination and implementation full-scale project plans consistent with project management best practices, including monitoring and coordinating day-to-day activities to ensure successful delivery of the project. The position will also be responsible for liaising with stakeholders of strategic importance to explore new opportunities for partnership models, which support the growth and sustainability of the Institute.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing components of programs and initiatives that advance strategic objectives
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Drafting and editing partnership agreements
- Developing charter, scope, resources and schedule for project(s)
- Reviewing and assessing requirements needed to meet project timelines
- Planning and estimating resources required for programs and/or projects
- Monitoring project accounts
- Serving as a resource on specific issues to a group of specialists

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six years of recent and related complex project experience, preferably in a relevant business development setting, including organizational planning, and process improvement.
- Experience leading, facilitating and organizing stakeholder groups.
- Ability to establish and interpret project budgets and resource plans.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to discern critical information on large or challenging issues.
- Working knowledge of emerging trends in advanced technologies, including applicable topics in academic research and policy discourse.
- Effective collaboration, influencing, and persuasion skills with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and takes initiative with mínimal supervision, taking full accountability for assigned tasks.
- Critical thinking and innovative solutioning skills.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and databases.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

**Assets (Nonessential)**:

- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
- Process Improvement Certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies.
