**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**

The Childcare Cook with Kids at Blue is a pivotal team member responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, nutritious, and visually appealing meals and snacks to our children. This role involves planning menus that meet dietary guidelines and accommodate various dietary restrictions. The Cook ensures that all meals are prepared in a safe, hygienic environment, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

- Developing and executing child-friendly, nutritious menus that align with dietary guidelines and that kids love
- Managing food inventory, placing timely orders to Purchasing.
- Preparing on-time meals and snacks with meticulous attention to portion sizes, nutrition, and presentation.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with team members to enhance meal services and support a positive, child-centered environment.
- Supporting in the classroom daily and interacting with children.

**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- Previous cooking experience, ideally in a setting with children.
- Basic knowledge of food safe handling and practices.
- Must follow menu and nutrition guidelines, be attentive, and ensure accuracy of menu and ingredients. Lack of attention to detail can be potentially fatal for children with food allergies.
- Must ensure daily tasks are competed in a timely manner so children have snack and meals and appropriate scheduled times.
