The Food Services Program prepares 800 meals daily across 5 different housing sites and provides daily dine-in service at the Rock Bay Landing shelter. The Food Services Supervisor supervises kitchen staff by coordinating work assignments, maintaining department standards and procedures, and determining related training and orientation requirements for the Food Services Team. The Supervisor will also assist with the development and implementation of new recipes and menus, while being able to implement and carry out menu’s depending on available resources.

**Qualifications**
- Red Seal Chef certification or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory large-volume kitchen coordination experience at a similar organization.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clear Driver Abstract.
- Current Food Safe Level 1 and 2 certifications.
- Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C.
- Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

**Job Information**
- **Hourly Wage Rate**:$33.77 - $38.77.
- ** Work Locations**:Various, may move between housing and shelter site kitchens.
- ** Work Days**:Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- ** Shift Time**:9:30am to 5:30pm.
- ** Weekly Hours**: 40.
- ** Union**:BCGEU.

- ** Job Type**:Permanent - full-time.

**Portability**

As of November 1, 2021, Cool Aid requires that all its staff are fully vaccinated (7 days past their second dose of vaccine) against COVID-19.
