The CNE fair is a cherished tradition, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. Be a part of this summer tradition and help us inspire Canadians and create memories.

Overview
Reporting to the Program Director, the Programs Assistant, Gaming Garage role will be to assist the Programs team with contracts, coordinating showcases, work orders, summer staffing, and overseeing the Gaming Garage operations during the fair. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Providing support for all Gaming Garage programs including but not limited to Esports tournaments, FIRST Robotics, and stage programming.
- Assisting in the hiring, training, and supervision of 18-day fair staff
- Acting as a liaison between the CNE and sponsors, vendors, or other third parties
- Purchasing and reconciling equipment
- Contributing to all aspects of the programming and work collaboratively with all departments
- Performing other duties as assigned

Special Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors

Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- Education and/or experience in a field related to event management would be considered an asset
- Experience with Esports Competitions and other Gaming-related events is highly preferred
- Experience with FIRST Robotics Competition Teams/Events is highly preferred
- Proven organization and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task
- A valid driver’s license would be considered an asset
- Full availability during CNE event required
- Flexibility to work days or evenings during the event, as required
