Light Duty Towing Supervisor-dispatcher

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise the dispatch operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate with drivers personnel to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Monitor and track towing requests to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve any issues or delays in delivery by communicating with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders
- Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement in the dispatch process
- Implement strategies to optimize routes and reduce costs
- Train and mentor dispatch team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all USA/Canada branch light duty drivers.
- Conduct new customer sales and manage current accounts.
- Work closely throughout the day with the Light Duty Manager to ensure any and all priorities are completed.
- Monitor employee performance and relay issues and achievements to the Light Duty Manager.
- Inventory and maintain inventories of all trucks at assigned branch.
- Handle damage claims.
- Communicate any lot issues as they arise with the Lot Supervisor.
- Be accessible to all light duty drivers.
- Maintain a focus on cost control and time management by monitoring and analyzing all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies, including providing recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards as well as with all applicable laws/regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the light duty drivers and management.
**Skills**:
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and other team members
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes
- Accurate data entry skills to maintain accurate records of shipments
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve dispatch operations
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Familiarity with phone systems used in dispatch operations
- Understanding of freight transportation regulations and requirements
**Requirements**:
- Must possess minimum 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Must be available after hours to respond to employee and customer calls._
- Prior towing driving experience required.
- Must be familiar with light duty truck operations.
- Must be a goal-oriented leader that thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate jobs to ensure all calls are completed in the most efficient manner.
- Must have problem-solving skills, good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
