**INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION**

Position: Internship

Title: Dispatch Support

Term: Jun1, 2024 - Aug 31, 2024

Location: Anjou, QC

**WHY TRIMAC?**

Summary:
The Intern will be reporting to the Dispatch Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for communicating the load plan to drivers and customers.
- Ensure the drivers have the proper instructions to perform their duties safely.
- Listen to all driver concerns and act on them appropriately.
- Ensure the company meets all customer requirements and any changes are communicated immediately.
- Ensure the dispatch system is up to date.
- Ensure trailer interior washes are completed where required.
- Ensure all orders and trip events are recorded in the transportation management system in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Ensure that invoicing and driver pay are completed daily.
- Audit TMW reports for compliance requirements.
- Ensure service failure reports are recorded in the transportation management system and brought to the terminal manager's attention or designate.
- Ensure all drivers and equipment meet regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Assign the proper equipment for the jurisdiction and job requirements.
- Ensure that the drivers have adequate time to perform their duties safely and within the hours of work regulations.

Requirements/Education Studies:

- Current student in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field.
- Interns are required to speak English and French to communicate with customers outside of Quebec on a regularly.
