**Building Caretaker - Cedar Shores**

We are currently recruiting for the position of Full-Time Maintenance Associate/Caretaker to assist the Site Manager of a large 260-unit condominium complex. This position does not require the applicant to live on the property and does involve a variety of duties including but not limited to:

- Routine maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
- Safety and security checks of buildings and parking lots.
- Routine maintenance of the pool and hot tub.
- Checking Mechanical and Electrical room equipment and parkade gates.
- Responding to emergencies and residents’ concerns.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

**Skills Needed**:

- ** “**Handyperson”** **competence with cleaning, carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
- Knowledge of boiler systems.
- Ability to identify electrical and plumbing issues.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with residents and tradespeople effectively and diplomatically.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in strata or rental buildings.
- General experience with plumbing, electrical and mechanical issues.
- Physical strength for the tasks required.
- Criminal record check.
- Pool Operators certificate an asset (if you do not yet have this we would pay for you to obtain it) Employment offer contingent on successful attainment of pool operator certification.
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday, with the possible shift to Monday-Friday, and to respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Timely access to the site is an asset.

The salary range is $46,000-$50,000 and will be based on experience and qualifications.
