**Responsibilities**:

- Exhibit a commitment to safe working practices and be a leader in advocating for safety.
- Keeping your work area safe, clean, and well maintained. Taking timely action to correct unsafe work conditions.
- In charge of melt deck activities including preparing and charging the furnaces, dosing of master alloys, tapping the ladles, and casting melt in sand molds.
- Calculating melt additives including ferroalloys and non-ferrous master alloys to create all grade of melts based on engineering specifications.
- Operate a forklift, overhead crane, Brokk manipulator, torches, flame cutting equipment, and other equipment as necessary.
- Control of required charge and raw material inventory.
- Maintenance of induction and gas furnaces including preparing and maintaining the refractories in the induction furnace and ladles and maintaining crucibles for non-ferrous melting.
- Taking temperature measurements of molten metals using immersion probes.
- Taking samples of molten metal for spectrometer analysis.
- Monitoring the condition of equipment and coolant temperatures and flow rates of coolant to ensure proper operation of the furnaces.
- Assisting Engineering team to design, build, install, and operate required tools and equipment for furnace operation.
- Cooperating with the Engineering team and Quality Assurance Manager to maintain and satisfy company QMS.
- Attending training and courses to keep up with emerging technologies.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned by the manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a foundry setting or steel mill is essential.
- Experience of working with heavy equipment required, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and skid steers.
