Edmonton, Canada Western Truck Body Mfg. Full time

Western Truck Body Mfg. has an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse and Forklift Operator - yard. This position manages the flow of products in and out of the warehouse, shop, and yard, mainly operating in the yard. They are a whiz on the forklift and have experience lifting large equipment and vehicle bodies. They meet company productivity, quality, and safety expectations, while ensuring deadlines and procedures are maintained.

Western Truck Body Mfg., a subsidiary of Federal Signal, has been a leader in the manufacturing of custom aluminum service truck bodies and accessories for over 60 years.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Labeling and tracking packages, product, or equipment, using inventory management systems
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment required to move, stack, or store product.
- yard management and maintenance
- Inspecting and reporting any damage or discrepancies in shipments, and working with vendors or carriers to resolve issues
- Maintaining organization and accurate inventory levels, shipping/receiving activities, and other data related to the movement of goods
- Ensure parts and equipment are picked in a timely manner for all internal and external orders; maintain forklift safety protocol
- Vehicle management and maintenance
- Creating shipping crates
- Performing snow removal, spreading ice melt, and cutting the grass
- Ensure only authorized staff enter the warehouse area
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures
- Other areas as required

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 2 years warehouse/yard related experience
- Current Forklift certification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Clean driver’s abstract

- Fast paced environment, must work under pressure with minimum supervision
