We're looking to fill a cook 1 position in our food service operation in UBC. This a permanent full time position, working 5 days a week, 12.30pm to 8.30pm Sundays to Thursdays with Fridays and Saturdays off

SJC Culinary Service operates a meal plan service for a large group of international graduate student residents living on campus in UBC. We serve breakfasts and dinners to these residents six days a week and our menu reflects the multicultural aspect of our resident community. We also provide catering services and hold events within our facility.

Your duties will include:

- Preparing and serving meals
- Preparing food for our catering events
- Assisting in receiving and storage of food and supplies
- Keeping your work station and kitchen prep area clean
- Supervising Junior cooks, kitchen helpers and dishwashers
- Closing the kitchen
- any other kitchen related duties as directed

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years of Cooking Experience
- Food Safe 1
- Courteous and positive attitude
