Our retirement villages are located in Surrey and Chilliwack, B.C., where over 1,000 seniors call Elim Village ‘home’. **JOB SUMMARY**

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in developing and implementing all Elim communications and marketing materials. There is a strong external focus to this role, although some support for internal communications is required. This person helps to uphold and maintain our brand integrity and aids in strategically positioning Elim Village as a trusted source. This role sits within the broader marketing team, which is responsible for the occupancy levels of our two village communities. While this role is situated at our Elim Village Fleetwood (Surrey) campus, support is also required for our Elim Village Garrison Crossing (Chilliwack) community.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, graphic design, or equivalent.
- Three or more years of work experience in a marketing communications capacity
- Strong portfolio of writing samples required
- Strong portfolio of graphic design samples required
- Strong portfolio of photography samples required
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn) & implementing paid social media campaigns

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
- Superior writing, editing, and proof-reading skills
- Creativity, with an eye for design and graphic layouts
- Knowledgeable in Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, and MS Office
- Proven experience with SEO and social media
- Passionate about story-telling, and able to identify / capture stories in writing
- Able to produce excellent work within required timelines / deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with an exceptional eye for detail and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively
- Self-starter and motivated, able to work without direct supervision
- Able to represent Elim Village as a knowledgeable brand ambassador, embodying the image and values of the organization

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Write external and internal marketing communication materials in line with brand standards
- Develop ideas, write, edit, and proof-read multiple projects concurrently
- Design graphic layouts for various publications
- Maintain Elim’s social media accounts (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Provide marketing communications support to Elim departments as needed
- Develop digital and print advertising
- Develop and implement communication plans as directed
- Update content on the Elim Village website
- Aid in maintaining and supporting the adoption of Elim’s brand identity in the organization
- Coordinate photo shoots and visual asset collection
- Research as directed for marketing / communications materials and / or for industry trends
- Monitor and report on metrics for various marketing / communication initiatives
- Support the design / creation of promotional products in line with Elim’s brand
- Assist with handling sales inquiries and providing tours if / as needed
- Other related duties as assigned

**NOTES**
- This is a full-time position
- Attendance at special events outside of regular working hours may be required on occasion
- Travel to our Garrison Crossing community (Chilliwack) will be required
