Salary Range: $53.78 - $67.23 per hour
Hours: 0.3 FTE to 0.4 FTE (Monday - Friday)
Status: Temporary Part Time (approx 12 months)

POSITION:
As part of a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team you will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and intervention for our outpatient Rehabilitation Pain Service. Within your role you will be have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the team and patient for on-going treatment and discharge planning.

You will also have a role in supervising and developing others such our graduate students completing clinical practicums and CPA accredited internship training program.

You will work closely with your interprofessional colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans and strategies to optimize coping, adaptation and recovery; in addition to managing a caseload of individual psychotherapy clients; as well as leading psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and participate in program development; demonstrating understanding of, compliance with and commitment to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completion of a recognized doctoral degree program in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology is required; APA/CPA accredited programs are preferred
- Two (2) years experience in a rehabilitation setting strongly recommended
- Registration by the College of Psychologists of Ontario in either autonomous practice or supervised practice is required (supervision for college supervision may be available)
- Proof of liability insurance required
- Knowledge of adult psychopathology required
- Skills in performing psychometric tests appropriate for the population required
- Declared competency in the area of Rehabilitation or Clinical Psychology (Adults and Older Adults); Clinical Neuropsychology experience is an asset, given the diverse clinical population we service
- Up-to-date knowledge of assessment of clients with, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, and evidence-based interventions strongly preferred
- Membership in OPA or CPA preferred
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
