The Coordinator will support and assist the Area Lead by facilitating the day to day linkage with the ongoing operations and maintenance personnel at the Vale Plant supporting our Vale’s Project Office in Copper Cliff, ON (part of Greater City of Sudbury). This position will be responsible for supporting the Vale construction team in planning, coordination and execution of work on time, within budget and quality requirements and in a zero-harm environment.

**Your role within the team**:

- Manage the construction process and employees in the SP&S area of accountability.
- Understand, implement and promote Vale’s SHE Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of a Construction Execution Plan and schedule for the area and for the total site.
- Conduct detailed constructability reviews of engineering drawings and specifications during the project design phase.
- Explore and identify additional opportunities for preassembly and modularization.
- Assist in the construction contract bidder pre-qualification, tendering, logistics plans, contractor selection processes, preservation plans for construction related equipment and materials as required.
- Report to owner’s project management team on all matters relating to construction in his/her area. Plan the integration between the construction completion activities and commissioning activities ensuring clear responsibilities are defined between construction contractors, vendor representatives, and commissioning teams for successful handover of construction activities to commissioning.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 7 + year’s relevant experience in project coordination, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance in utilities, facilities environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Working knowledge of project cost and schedule desired including use of scheduling tools like MS
- Experience with field works related to Quality programs and monitoring contractors site progress.
