RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary

General Duties
- Work with the principal investigators to coordinate studies aimed to address contemporary research questions to support evidence-based surgical care,
- Support lab research activities such as recruitment of study participants, management of data collection documents, and data collection (qualitative and quantitative),
- Contribute to literature reviews,
- Train and oversee the work of students and other research personnel,
- Organize team meetings and maintain communications with project stakeholders,
- Act as a liaison with clinical services and community partners,
- Engage in administrative duties related to the research program,

Education / Experience
- Master’s degree in a relevant heath science field, or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in clinical research,
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team,
- Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills,
- Experience with clinical research design, conduct, analysis, and reporting,
- Superior English written and verbal communication skills,

**Desirable assets**:

- Experience managing randomized controlled trials,
- Experience managing multicenter studies,
- Experience with research focused on surgical patients or patients with acute conditions,
- Knowledge of statistics and statistical packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Stata),
- Knowledge of data management using REDCap,
- Ability to communicate in French,

Additional information

**Status**: Temporary, full time

**Pay Scale**: Based on RI-MUHC salary scale and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

**Work Shift**: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays

**Work Site**: Montreal General Hospital
