Battlefield Equipment Rentals (_a division of Toromont Industries Ltd._) one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies presently requires a Regional Safety Trainer. Battlefield Equipment Rentals works tirelessly to ensure safety is a characteristic to be admired, rewarded, and aspired to for every single employee and believes that every job can be done safely.

The Safety Trainer continually monitors, inspires, and improves these behaviors. The safety trainer position is imperative to offering safe, easy to understand, and regulation sanctioned training to our customer base and employees, while ensuring we maintain an environment within our organization that is responsible and committed to safety.

**Key Qualifications & Requirements**:

- The ability to provide excellent customer and internal relations in a constantly-changing, fast-paced environment
- A strong background in legislative requirements
- Minimum of two years experience in a training field, with the ability to prepare engaging teaching plans, identify strengths and and weaknesses to fine tune these plans, and direct structured learning experiences
- Ability to monitor effectiveness and provide follow-up as required
- Understanding of how to oversee, inventory, and disperse training aids, manuals, and handouts
- Experience in the construction environment, with some knowledge of construction equipment and products
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Attention to detail and effective paperwork organization
- A self starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills
- Good communication and people skills, and experience in speaking to audiences of all sizes
- Willingness to travel within and around the province as required
- Ability to cater to customer and internal schedules, including possible after-hour requirements
- A clean driver's abstract
