- The Regional Manager, Corporate & Program Communications (RMCPC) is responsible for the operational management of the communications advisors who support Northern Health’s senior executive team and their priorities. This includes supporting the development and execution of communications strategies for all of their program priorities, as well as overseeing and providing direction on the production of key corporate NH publications, including the annual report, the strategic plan, and internal/external magazines. The position ensures the leadership and management of the human, financial, and material resources of the Corporate and Program Communications Department, and supports the goals, policies, and strategic plan of Northern Health, as well as the strategic communications priorities established within NH’s business plan. The incumbent regularly participates in strategic planning with varying levels of program area leadership in order to coordinate the collaborative development and implementation of high-quality, effective, and efficient communications support services.

**Qualifications**
- A Master’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations in corporate environment including a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a professional writer and/or editor.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Previous experience in a health care, government, public sector, not-for-profit or corporate environment an asset.
- Knowledge of current health topics and issues in B.C. and within the NH region are an asset.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated expertise writing for a variety of media, including print, video (scripts), social media and Web.
- Extensive knowledge of communications tools/practices used within a corporate environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage and supervise others
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative team approach to decision-making.
- Proven experience developing promotional campaign plans and materials for the purpose of community engagement, both online and not.
- Experience with social media, multimedia, and website development.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally in a confident and effective manner.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships between organizations and groups.
- Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive issues in a professional manner.
- Ability to remain calm, alert and high functioning in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to set priorities and be results-oriented.
