You are a current Nursing Student have current CPR and First Aid certifications. You will be working in our health care centre with a registered nurse and can work in a high pace environment. Working in the health care setting, you will be assisting in and overseeing the administration of medications and any health concerns for our campers and staff. Our campers are as young as 4 years old, and we are looking for someone who loves working with children. You know when to escalate issues and handle emergencies without panic. You are available for pre-camp training and work full-time hours Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. If you love working with children and people and really want to make a difference this summer, camp is for you Camp runs from June 26 -August 25, 2023.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure each staff member and camper has on file a health history and examination form, as required.
- Document all issues/incidents for every camper and staff that is treated in the Health Centre or by a Health Center Staff member
- Set up Health Center including supplies and medicines
- Conduct beginning of summer, and end of summer, inventory of supplies and place orders when necessary, ensuring timely arrival of supplies
- Establish and follow appropriate medical routines including record keeping in the daily medical log, disposal of medical waste, managing and safeguarding medications and utilizing approved standing procedures of the Health Centre
- Document all issues/incidents for every camper and staff that is treated in the Health Centre or by a Health Center Staff member
- Communication with parents when required
- Participate in and lead specific areas of staff training pertaining to camper health and safety, CPR, first aid, and use of universal precautions for infection control
- Keep accident/incident reports that can be used for risk-management assessment
- Prepare a summary and evaluation of the camp season: include inventories, camper reports on health problems, and make recommendations for the following season.
- Monitor/evaluate camp procedures, facilities, and conditions and suggest modifications that would create more healthful conditions in the camp

This position is also intended to comply with the greater vision of the Prosserman JCC and Schwartz/Reisman Centre.

**Salary Range**: $8,000 - $9,000 for contract term, June 25, 2023 - Aug 25, 2023.
